So basically....... Kiss my ASS you Donkeys!

Someone please tell me, ( but with a really good ef'in answer!) why the hell do I want to be one of you so freakin' bad? Be honest with yourselves as I am with myself, NLHE is a total crapshoot! Do you really think you're a "skilled" player?

I sincerely thank the seven or eight of you that I recognized, that took the time to sit at my STUD and RAZZ tables over the weekend.

For each and everyone of you, I only have 6 little words....

My sincerest thanks for dropping by....

Yikes, what a horrible weekend. Nothing like getting beat about the head with variance.

If there is such a thing as karma, you are in for a truly kick butt weekend! Enjoy!

I had similarly bad results.

AA < JJ, J on river.
AA < JJ, J on river. 2nd time was infuriating.
QQ < 44
99 < 66

Then I stopped keeping track. :)

Weekend doom switch obviously.

You post OVER 30 bad beats / coolers / lost coin flips / etc... experienced at NLHE, and somehow managed to ONLY lose $127!?? I'm confused. I think you answered your own question about the appeal of the game, as if you just get a handful of these to go your way, your results are very profitable.

I am curious how such a bad run at a game resulted in just losing $127!? My last trip to Vegas had me down four figures on just TWO bad beats?! How do you lose a flopped set against quads on more than one occassion and still post a loss of JUST $127?! Wild.

Congrats on the profits at the other games! The STUD format is definitely your personal cash cow, I wouldn't be in any hurry to transition to a game that costs you more frustration. To each, their own.

RC....

Because, (as you know) I'm just trying to figure the damn game out, my buy in in Hold'em is at a really low level.

I want to do better at the bloggerments so, $2 to $5 / 90 player games are where it's at for me right now. (read practice)

I know I'm going to master this biyatch, it's just a matter of time.

I did have a few final tables to go along with the brutal beats put on me this past weekend though, and that's how I managed to limit the loss to $127.

But at $2 to $5 a pop, you have to know how much NLHE I managed to get in, to lose $127.

This is where I get as confused as hell. I'm making the right decisions and typically getting my money in good. But in the STUD formats, I'm "working" to make a buck or two and succeding. In NLHE, let's face it! Anything can happen and the level of skill involved, can be a distant memory once the cards come out on the flop, turn and river.

I was under the impression that pot control and getting it in good, is the true measure of skill in the game of poker. Yet I'm a fishie because I haven't won a race in almost a year.

Since you know STUD's my game, you already know that I know my math. Work this one out with me.

NLHE stats for the weekend.
(yes I make player notes and keep my own stats to measure progression!)

In good = 88%
In behind = 10 %
In a 50 / 50 = 2%
Total races won = 6.85 %

I must surely be, a crappy player.

First Kat can tell that I'm surfing porn, and now you're somehow getting into my hand histories! Something is up in the blogosphere.

Point being - I'm right there with you. If it weren't for SHL, OHL, and HORSE - I'd swear of online poker completely!
